The idea to create the “Museum of Burnt Food” came to musician Deborah Henson-Conant, who once started making apple cider, but one phone call changed everything. She forgot about the cider, and when she returned to the kitchen, what she saw impressed her, and she came to the conclusion that even burnt food remnants can be objects of art.
