05.19.08 Kaya’s Crazy Monday — What’s That Smell?

So, last week, we talked about things that freak Rufus out. Let’s talk about Kaya now. She’s freaked out by your standard dog things — cars driving down the street, people outside, etc. However, there is one thing that bothers her more than anything else — her own farts. Unfortunately for Kaya, she’s a gassy girl so she’s frequently freaking herself out. Usually Kaya is just laying around and then oops, she lets one out. I’ve never seen a dog jump so fast as Kaya does when she farts. She jumps out, runs around, and then gives you a dirty look like you somehow caused it. Here she is pre-flatulance:

If you look closely, you’ll notice a crazed look in her eyes. I’m pretty sure that’s because she knows it’s coming! I don’t have any good shots of her post-gas, but I am going to attempt to get it in video!

My best friend used to have a dog that did the same thing! It’s hilarious.

The other day Smalls’s stomach gurgled and you should have seen the look she gave it. She was like “WHAT was that?!”

Yikes she does look like something is coming. Whatever she’s focusing on, I hope I wouldn’t be near it

That is probably the funniest thing I have ever heard a dog do…

I think if Bailey did that Tim would die from laughter… because you know farts will always be funny.

The one downside of dogs!! The farting!!

She gets so tiny all scrunched up like that! The better to protect oneself, I suppose.
