All he does is eat, and couch, and fondle the remote control.
Ever since Rufus was a puppy, he has loved hanging his head off of things when he sleeps. At our old apartment, Rufus would lay on the fireplace hearth, and hang his head off of the edge. Nowadays, he likes to hang his head off of the couch when he naps. Last week, while hanging his head off of the couch, Rufus found the perfect pillow…

…my feet!

Rufus was very comfortable….my legs were going numb! Still, it made for some cute photos! Apologies about the gross close up of my feet!
Some of you may know the very sweet and charming Vanessa. I actually had the pleasure of meeting her this weekend, and she is as delightful in person as she appears on her blog. Unfortunately, Vanessa’s two very dear pups have been take away from her and quarantined due to a ridiculous and nasty incident that you can read about here. She won’t be able to get her pups back until August 10th, and when she does it will cost her $400 to get them back! Please send Vanessa and her pups lots of positive thoughts during this horrible time. You can also donate to help bring Spencer and Morgan home! Please consider helping out Vanessa and her pups. No one should have to be separated from such sweet little fur kids!
Vanessa, I totally stole these pictures from you blog! I hope that’s all right.
Last week, when Rachel and Diana came over, love was in the air. Rufus, who generally loves little blond girls, is completely smitten with Diana. I’m pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

Even Kaya got in on the Diana loving. Of course, she can’t resist a good belly rub!

Kaya enjoyed her belly rub, for sure, but I don’t think she’s still pining for Diana the way Rufus is…
I realize that it’s not a Kaya’s Crazy Monday or a Roosday-Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have cute puppy pictures! On Tuesday, I caught Rufus doing what he does best — napping in odd positions…

Naturally, I thought he looked ridiculous, so I ran for the camera. While Kaya isn’t fond of the camera, she hates being left out of the action. So, she decided to wake Rufus up with a gentle nudge…

Rufus does not like his favorite activity to be interrupted, and he felt a bit put out…

Don’t worry. Shortly thereafter, Rufus resumed his daily napfest in a new, more private, location!
Can you believe it? Two dog posts in one week! Whose blog is this?
Anyhow, a few weeks ago, Ted and I cut down most of a tree. It’s not that we condone tree-killing, but the tree was killing our house, so down (most of it) came. Cutting down tree branches is fun, but it’s not so fun having to dice it up into tiny pieces to fit in the yard waste bags. Luckily, Rufus was willing to help…

One stick down, one million to go!
One of the benefits to having an iPhone is that I have a camera with me at all times. Sure, my old phone had a camera, but I wasn’t addicted to my old phone. Therefore, I didn’t carry it with me where ever I was. Nowadays, I can easily pull it out to snap cute shots of the pups. For instance, Rufus using his puppy dog wiles to try and convince me to feed him my dinner:

How could anyone resist that adorable face? Lucky for me, I have superpowers and am completely unswayed but his puppy cuteness!
Ted took this great shot of the dogs the other day, and we decided that it needs a caption!

Here’s the deal:
Leave your photo captions in the comments. We will take submissions through Sunday. Ted will pick his favorite caption, and you will win a Borders gift card! Amazing!
Caption away, my friends! Be sure to visit our other puppy friends in the meantime — Smalls, Ben, Bailey, & Daisy
